Coastal Cool
Thirroul, NSW
Residential | 80sqm
Completed 2025
Bucking the coastal trend of light oak and white bathrooms, Perry has opted for warm FSC Tasmanian Oak timber, Squid Ink walls and Japanese mosaic tiles. These add depth and warmth to this restrained space, enhancing the white vaulted ceiling.
An intentionally restrained palette makes the modest floor area feel uncluttered and calm, bringing into focus the North facing, escarpment views. A total of 80 sqm in which every millimetre counts.
A minimal steel balustrade was designed to not only allow light into the stair void but maximise space within the compact kitchen and living spaces.
This project is a great example of quality over quantity: reduced floor area with thoughtful design details.
